“We say that a person has a rich inner activity when it has a keen sense of sensitivity and energies of the world and presents the gift to externalize or project them with ease and spontaneity. Internal activity corresponds to the set of the reality, reality that the artist has been able to integrate in his body. Nevertheless, internal activity remains a very difficult concept to identify and identifier is always in a way in which internal activity denotes a physical object it creates.”
Claude Mediavilla, L’ABCdaire de la Calligraphie chinoise
The above quotation, refers to the art of calligraphy, nevertheless I believe I can borrow it.
I started disciplines of fine arts as a way of self-therapy.Intuitively. I snicker about it too, whenever I attempt to write about it. It provided glimpses from different layers of reality ,a realm outside my mindset, mundane preoccupations…As in martial arts or dance, playing with the energies of colors and textures of the background, striving for a live energy flow on the still piece of canvas. Not nearly as focused as I would hope to be nor as determined, I go looking for the right stroke on the canvas, individual to universal.
